The desks at Malta International are not where most people expect them.
Almost every rental company at MLA funnels into a single building — and it is not the terminal you walk out of.
From arrivals, leave the terminal via level -1 and turn right.
The desks are in the Park East building rather than the main terminal. It is roughly a three-minute walk.
Concessionaires must staff their desks at least eight hours a day. That is a floor, not round-the-clock cover — check your company's hours before you fly.

Malta is one of only three EU countries that drives on the left, a British-era legacy. Cars are right-hand drive, UK-style. Roads are narrow with frequent roundabouts, and the local driving style is assertive.
